Alpina BMW B5 Bi-Turbo Touring 2011

Tuning company Alpina released their BMW B5 Bi-Turbo Touring edition at theGeneva Auto Show this week. The car is based on the BMW F10 5-series 550i, and challenges the BMW M5 with some new and old features. Almost a year ago, Alpina revealed the B5 biturbo sedan version, and still today it is ahead of the M5, while the new touring or wagon style features mostly the same specifications. It comes powered by the 4.4-liter V8, which is twin turbocharged, and tuned to produce 507 PS and 700 Nm of torque. These numbers are precisely 100 PS and 100 Nm of torque more than the 5-series. At the track, the ZF eight-speed Switch-Tronic automatic gearbox allows the BMW B5 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The top speed has been limited to 300 km/h by Alpina, while the fuel economy drops to 10.9 liters per 100km/h. Pricing for these modifications start at €98,800.
